There once was a fairy godmother named Judith. Not only is she a caring friend, but she unknowingly became the fairy godmother responsible for bringing together the future Posada-Orozcos.
After being invited to join a conference hosted in a far, far way land called Albany (NY), Humberto made his way there - it was March 2017 - and after a long travel day, he arrived after dinner. So, Judith "voluntold" Eliazar and a couple other guys to accompany Humberto to dinner so that he wouldn't eat alone. Eliazar begrudgingly obliged, but little did he know that he would be looking at his future husband.
Humberto & Eliazar would hit it off in Albany, but it would be over three years before they would eventually start seeing each other. Humberto traveled to North Carolina first (Oct. 2020) and Eliazar visited Humberto in Atlanta. However, they would not officially start dating until November 2021. The would continue traveling back and forth between North Carolina and Georgia, occasionally meeting halfway, in Asheville or the vicinity, while racking up points towards their next big trip together. Sometimes though, they would do the full six hour drive to spend time with each other.
To this day, they credit the “chance” encounter that would change the course of their lives to their Madrina (godmother), Judith.
